JONI @ THE BOTANICAL GARDENS

A coffee house, tucked into the trees.

Joni is a coffee house collective inside the historic Curator’s House, just by the Clarkehouse Road entrance. We refurbished the building before reopening in June 2023 — a fresh, welcoming space that holds onto the character of the gardens around it.

Eat inside our bright front room, settle into the conservatory, or take a table out on the terrace and watch the lawns and glasshouses do their thing. It’s a perfect stop for a relaxed break after a wander through the grounds.

The Terrace

Our terrace is the heart of summer at Joni — a sheltered spot under the green canvas, looking out over the gardens. Order a coffee, a glass of something cold, or stay for lunch. Dogs welcome.
INSIDE THE CAFE

The Front Room

A bright, sunny space looking straight out into the gardens — ideal for larger groups, baby showers, birthdays and get-togethers. Get in touch and we’ll happily put a long table together for you.

Sunlit bay windows, a long shareable table and a relaxed feel — book ahead for celebrations and parties.

A glass-roofed dining room that runs out onto the terrace — soft pendants, plants, and a lot of light.

Honest, well-cooked food. Loved-at-Joni classics alongside seasonal specials — vegan, veggie and GF options always on.
FRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY EVENINGS

Stay a little longer.

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings we open late — the terrace lights up, the drinks list gets interesting, and the kitchen puts out a selection of evening nibbles worth lingering over. Whether you’re winding down after a walk through the gardens or heading out for the evening, it’s a relaxed, unhurried way to spend a few hours.
